What is Event Site Management?

Event site management is the planning, build, operation, and breakdown of the physical site on which an event takes place. It is a distinct discipline — separate from operational management, production management, and safety management — that focuses on the infrastructure and logistics of the ground itself.

For outdoor events, festivals, and large-scale activations, the site is the event. Before any entertainment, content, or experience can be delivered, the site must be designed, consented, built, and made operational. That process — and the specialist expertise required to manage it — is what a site manager provides.

Our site managers are available worldwide. We have delivered site management across the UK, Europe, and internationally — in greenfield fields, city centre locations, sports venues, and everything in between.

What Does a Site Manager Do?

Pre-event planning:

  • Site survey and feasibility assessment
  • Site design and layout planning (CAD drawings where required)
  • Infrastructure specifications — power, water, waste, welfare, fencing
  • Access route and traffic management planning
  • Contractor briefing and scheduling
  • Liaison with landowners, local authorities, and licensing teams
  • Coordination with local authority safety advisory groups (SAGs)

Build and show:

  • Contractor inductions and site rules briefing
  • Supervision of site build across all disciplines
  • Load-in and load-out scheduling
  • On-site problem solving and decision making
  • Coordination with production, safety, and operational teams

Post-event:

  • Load-out supervision
  • Site reinstatement and condition reporting
  • Waste management and environmental compliance

Why Hire a Dedicated Site Manager?

Many event producers attempt to absorb site management into a general project management role. For small events this can work — but for anything with significant site infrastructure, a dedicated site manager delivers:

  • Single point of accountability for the physical site
  • Faster decision making on-site without escalation delays
  • Contractor confidence — experienced site managers earn the respect of build crews
  • Reduced risk — proactive identification and resolution of site issues before they become show-stopping problems

Events We Support

We have experience managing sites for:

  • Music festivals — small boutique events through to large multi-stage festivals
  • Outdoor corporate events and brand activations
  • Sporting events and ceremonies
  • Public events and community festivals
  • Large-scale private events

Worldwide Site Management

We are based in the UK but deliver site management internationally. We understand that working overseas requires additional planning — local authority relationships need to be established, contractor pools may be unfamiliar, and logistics chains are longer. We have experience building these relationships and delivering on the ground in international markets.

Whether your event is in a UK field, a European city square, a Middle Eastern venue, or anywhere else in the world — we can manage the site.
